Demo Pack 04

Commissioning and handover control

A representative closeout framework for organising readiness checks, approved settings, witnessed test records, issues, and final handover evidence across remote and site teams.

Representative workflow - not evidence of a completed project. Testing, energisation, statutory inspection, and acceptance remain under authorised project and local personnel.

Readiness

No test starts without an approved basis and a named owner.

Readiness gates reduce unsafe improvisation and prevent incomplete work from being recorded as accepted.

Gate 01

Document readiness

Approved drawings, equipment data, settings basis, method statements, and current revision status are available to the test team.

Gate 02

Site and safety readiness

Authorised site control, access, isolation, lockout/tagout, permits, PPE, and emergency arrangements are confirmed locally.

Gate 03

Equipment readiness

Installation inspections are complete and test instruments, firmware, communications, and configuration backups are available.

Gate 04

Witness and acceptance

Test roles, witness points, acceptance criteria, evidence format, deviation authority, and sign-off route are agreed.

Controlled records

Evidence linked to the requirement, result, and decision.

Settings control

  • Record the approved basis, value, units, device, and firmware.
  • Separate proposed, approved, applied, and verified states.
  • Capture who changed each setting and when.
  • Back up the final configuration under document control.

Issue control

  • Assign severity, owner, due date, and operational consequence.
  • Link the issue to photographs, logs, drawings, or test records.
  • Record temporary controls and retest requirements.
  • Close only against reviewed evidence and a named decision.

Closeout

A handover index that shows what is final and what remains open.

Approved records

Drawings, schedules, settings, test sheets, certificates, photographs, and witnessed results.

Operational package

Operating philosophy, alarm response, access ownership, configuration backups, and escalation contacts.

Residual actions

Open items, restrictions, responsible owners, due dates, interim controls, and final acceptance route.

Remote-support boundary

Solarna Systems can support document review, test preparation, settings comparison, screen-share diagnostics, issue tracking, and handover assembly. Physical switching, electrical testing, energisation, statutory inspection, and final local acceptance must be performed by personnel authorised for the site and jurisdiction.

Next step

Bring structure to a commissioning backlog.

A tailored package starts with the project document register, equipment scope, authority matrix, test plan, and current open-issue list.
